What the traffic light means

Red

Anyone can send in your name, or your mail lands in spam. The report shows the missing records, ready to copy.

Yellow

It works, but with gaps: some recipients will sort you out, and forged senders are not rejected.

Green

Sender protection and encryption are set up properly. From here, monitoring keeps it that way.

Who is behind mailampel

mailampel is not an anonymous SaaS — it comes from Mani IT in St. Pölten, Austria, an IT service provider at home in mail infrastructure and certified on the mail security systems used by banks and enterprises (Fortinet NSE 6 and 7 for FortiMail, SEPPmail).

mailampel exists because since Google and Yahoo started enforcing strict sender rules, mail from misconfigured domains silently disappears into spam. The tools against that used to be English-only and enterprise-priced. mailampel checks, explains and repairs in plain language.

Quick questions

What does mailampel cost?

The check is free and stays free — no account, no hidden limits. Only daily monitoring costs money: your first domain is free forever, every further one €5 per month.

Do I have to register?

No. The domain is all it takes. An account is only created once you use monitoring — via login link, no password at all.

Is my domain stored?

Not for the free check. A domain is only stored if you have it monitored or send yourself the report by email.

Can I apply the repairs myself?

Yes. Every item explains what it means and comes with the matching DNS record ready to copy. If you would rather have it done: Mani IT sets up SPF, DKIM and DMARC at a fixed price.

What exactly is checked?

Eight items: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, MTA-STS, DNSSEC, TLS-RPT and BIMI. Monitoring additionally checks the website certificate, reachability and domain expiry every day.
